We quote fixed prices after an on-site assessment. These are the factors that move the number.

Camera or zone countThe main driver. Four to six cameras, or four to eight alarm zones, covers most homes.
Cable runs and accessSingle-storey with roof access is straightforward. Double-storey, rendered walls or concrete take longer.
New install or upgradeSound existing cabling can often be reused, which brings the cost down considerably.

Do you actually service the Sunshine Coast?
Yes. We are Brisbane-based and cover the Sunshine Coast as part of our regular service area, from Caloundra and Kawana through Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Buderim up to Coolum, Peregian and Noosa. Travel is factored into the quote up front rather than added afterwards.
How much does a security system cost on the Sunshine Coast?

Do you monitor the cameras or alarm for me?
For alarms, yes. We provide 24/7 back-to-base alarm monitoring through an Australian monitoring centre, and self-monitored setups where the alarm notifies you directly. CCTV is different: cameras record locally and you view them from your phone, and we provide 24/7 technical support and automatic security updates rather than a watched camera feed.
Will equipment last near the water?
The equipment we specify will. Coastal Sunshine Coast properties get the same weather-rated housings and corrosion-resistant mounts we use on the Gold Coast canals. Standard retail hardware pits and fails quickly in salt air.
Can you do both cameras and an alarm at the same time?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper to do them together. One site visit, one cable run where they overlap, one handover. We quote them as a single job so you can see what each part costs.
How many cameras do I need?
Four to six covers most homes properly: front entry, rear entry, driveway or garage, and the side access people forget. Correct placement of fewer cameras beats a large number of badly aimed ones.
Will pets set the alarm off?
Not if it is specified correctly. We use pet-tolerant sensors and set detection zones around how your household actually lives. Badly placed sensors are the usual cause of false alarms in homes with dogs or cats.
Can you upgrade an existing system?
Often yes. If existing cabling is sound we can frequently reuse it and upgrade the cameras, recorder or alarm panel, which is considerably cheaper than starting again. We assess what is there before recommending either way.
What happens in a blackout?
Every system we install includes an industry-standard back-up battery, so your cameras keep recording and your alarm stays armed through a power failure. If you need a specific runtime we can size the battery to suit, whether that is four hours or four days.
What warranty comes with the work?
A 12-month comprehensive warranty, a minimum three-year parts warranty and a five-year workmanship warranty, with extended options available.
